JR309-FK for Cleanroom Communication at a Toothpaste Manufacturing Facility in Chongqing

Project Background

Cleanroom environments in toothpaste manufacturing facilities have strict requirements for personnel management and environmental control. Employees entering the production line are required to wear static-control clothing, while personal electronic devices such as mobile phones may be restricted in production areas.
These requirements can make conventional mobile communication difficult to use on the production floor. When operators need to communicate with management areas for routine work coordination, dispatching, or emergency calls, a dedicated fixed communication system provides a practical alternative.
To meet the communication requirements of the cleanroom, the project deployed an industrial communication terminal to provide reliable voice communication between the production area and the management area.

Communication Requirements

Communication equipment installed in a cleanroom needs to accommodate the site environment while remaining simple and convenient for operators to use.
The terminal should provide adequate protection for installation in the production area and support routine cleaning and maintenance. At the same time, the operation should be straightforward enough for employees wearing static-control gloves to make or answer calls without complicated procedures.
Based on these requirements, the project selected the J&R JR309-FK Hands-Free Industrial Telephone to provide fixed voice communication for personnel working in the cleanroom.

Product Application

The JR309-FK was installed in the cleanroom production area as a dedicated voice communication terminal. It supports both analog and SIP communication modes, allowing it to be integrated with the existing communication system according to the project requirements.
The telephone features a SUS304 brushed stainless-steel housing, with SUS316 stainless steel available as an option. With protection up to IP65 and IK10 impact resistance, the JR309-FK is designed for demanding industrial environments where equipment protection and durability are important.
Its recessed installation design, tamper-resistant mounting screws, and rear cable entry help provide a secure and practical installation in the production area.
For daily communication, the JR309-FK uses full-duplex hands-free communication, with a noise-reduction microphone and built-in 2W speaker. Operators can communicate without holding the handset, while the full-metal 12-key keypad supports both direct dialing and one-touch calling.
This allows personnel wearing static-control gloves to operate the terminal quickly and communicate with the management area without using personal electronic devices.

Project Benefits

The deployment of the JR309-FK provides cleanroom personnel with a dedicated fixed communication method, reducing the impact of restrictions on personal electronic devices on day-to-day communication.
With industrial communication terminals installed in the production area, operators can communicate with the management area more conveniently for routine work coordination, dispatching, and emergency calls.
The stainless-steel housing, protective design, and hands-free operation are also suited to the practical requirements of cleanroom environments.
The project demonstrates an application of industrial telephones for cleanroom communication in a toothpaste manufacturing facility. The same communication approach can also be considered for other controlled production environments, including pharmaceutical and personal care manufacturing facilities where environmental requirements and restrictions on personal electronic devices need to be taken into account.
