4G Emergency Communication Solution Enhances Smart City Safety in Le Bourget, France
Growing Demand for Urban Safety Communication
With the continuous development of smart cities, public areas are facing increasing demands for reliable communication and rapid emergency response capabilities. In the Safe City project implemented in Le Bourget, France, the customer aimed to leverage existing urban infrastructure to deploy a flexible and efficient emergency communication system, providing reliable communication support for residents and city management personnel.
Customized 4G Solution Successfully Deployed
To address the communication requirements of outdoor urban environments, J&R provided a customized 4G emergency communication solution. The project was completed and officially put into operation in 2025, with a total deployment of 22 units of JR104-SC-4G 4G communication terminals.
The solution integrated communication terminals with existing streetlight infrastructure, enabling fast deployment while reducing installation complexity. Based on the specific requirements of the project, J&R optimized the installation design with customized mounting clamps and dedicated cable connection solutions, significantly improving installation efficiency and meeting the requirements of urban infrastructure upgrades.
JR104-SC-4G Strengthens Emergency Communication Protection
The JR104-SC-4G is a 4G emergency communication terminal designed for public safety and outdoor applications. With reliable wireless communication capabilities, it overcomes the limitations of traditional wired networks and enables flexible deployment in various urban environments.
Featuring a rugged industrial design, the terminal provides dependable communication support for public areas such as streets and municipal facilities, ensuring stable operation in outdoor environments. The device also supports remote configuration and management, simplifying maintenance and improving operational efficiency. Combined with emergency call functionality, it enables users to quickly establish communication during emergencies and enhances urban safety response capabilities.
Continuous Protection for Urban Public Safety
After deployment, the system continues to provide reliable communication support even during streetlight power outages. The built-in backup battery enables the device to remain operational for more than 12 hours in standby mode, ensuring uninterrupted emergency communication and providing continuous protection for urban public safety. The successful implementation of this project demonstrates J&R’s expertise in delivering customized communication solutions for smart cities and public safety applications. Moving forward, J&R will continue to provide reliable and efficient industrial communication products and solutions to support global urban safety development.
