Project Background
Railway lines cover extensive and dispersed operating areas, making reliable communication essential for daily operations, equipment maintenance and emergency response. In June 2021, J&R supplied the JR101-FK Waterproof Telephone for railway projects in Turkey, including Gaziray, Torbalı-Tire-Ödemiş and Çerkezköy-Halkalı. The telephone provides reliable communication support for railway operations, maintenance and emergency communication along the railway.
IP Communication Connects Railway Worksites
The project uses the JR101-FK Waterproof Telephone to provide voice communication between railway worksites, stations, control centers and other operational areas. The SIP version of the JR101-FKis compatible with most SIP-based IP servers. It also supports PoE power supply, delayed automatic dialing, rolling calls and primary/secondary server switching, providing flexible options for IP communication systems. With the telephone connected to the railway's existing IP communication network, field personnel can initiate calls when required, communicate information related to railway lines and equipment, and contact relevant personnel during emergency situations. This provides a convenient communication point for daily railway operations and maintenance activities.
Robust Design for Outdoor Railway Environments
The JR101-FK features an aluminum die-cast housing with IP66/IP67 protection and IK10 impact protection, providing protection against water, dust and external impact. Industrial-grade electronic components enable the telephone to operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 65°C. The product is designed for demanding communication environments and is suitable for applications including high-speed rail, metro and tunnels. These design features allow the telephone to adapt to demanding outdoor railway environments while providing a durable communication terminal for trackside applications.
